iPhone spying has become somewhat of a necessity, mostly for parents and employers.
Justifying the act of spying
When it comes to parental spying, that’s something that parents have been doing since time immemorial. The reason being that parents worry, and that worry is pretty much justifiable. The things teenagers go through in their years can take a major toll on their life. Drugs, alcohol, smoking, and relationships, there is so much that happens that without the guidance of parents children can get involved in things that can ruin their life.
Businesses on the other hand need to monitor their employees to make sure they do not do something that could damage the business. There have been multiple accounts of employees going rogue and leaking out company secrets in the process. That can be destructive on a strategic level and can destroy a company. These things happen all the time, and if you do talk about morals then try to think of those employees who act for spies for other organizations. Take the example of Greg Chung who spied for China from 1979-2006, and then Hanjuan Jin who stole trade secrets from her US employer and tried to transfer them to her company in China.
Hence, a business needs to be prepared for such kinds of fraudulent schemes, and because of that spying can be pretty much justified.
Tools that are used for Spying
There are a number of solutions that apply specifically to workplaces, and then there are solutions that apply to individuals. iPhone spying is an solution meant for individuals and it can come in handy for both parents and employers.
Phoggi is one such application that is compatible with iPhones 3 to the latest iPhone 5. However, it requires a jailbreak to run, Cydia is needed to install Phoggi and a jailbreak is not much of a big deal. People get scared off when they hear the term ‘jailbreak’ but all it does is that it gives you access to an alternate app store that has loads of free applications and other tweaks that can take the iPhone experience to a different level.
I guess that wraps up the issue of spying and morals. Of course there are always standards and rules that need to be followed and only then can you make sure that such spying is not used for personal gain or to hurt others. That’s one thing you need to be very careful about.
